Organization's Mission
The Foundation for Professional Excellence in the Community College (FPECC) was established in 2001 as a non-profit corporation whose mission is to seek external funds in order to provide support for programs and activities that promote professional excellence, educational leadership, and lifelong learning for faculty, administrators, and staff at Texas two-year colleges. The Foundation compliments the efforts/activities of the Texas Community College Teachers Association (TCCTA).
New Website Information
Access to the Website is limited to TCCTA members enrolled in the TXPOD group, which will take effect at the start of the next school year. A message was sent to inform individuals identified as POD providers at their respective institutions of the launch of www.fpecc.org, which included a user-name and password. If you did not receive this message or are interested in becoming a part of TXPOD, please contact Marcos Molina in the TCCTA office at 1-800-288-6850 ext. 14.
In the Announcements page we will try to keep you updated on POD and Community College issues facing two-year institutions in Texas and the nation. The Discussion Forum allows users to communicate in an open environment about POD issues. The Resource Sharing section will provide materials and information which can be used at POD programs. The Directory has contact information for the FPECC Board, Staff and Strategic Planning Committee. Lastly, the P.O.D. Links page contains access to POD sites around Texas and across the nation, in addition to search engines, Active Learning, Classroom Assessment Techniques (CAT's) and Distance and Cooperative/Collaborative Learning sources.
